I remember how excited I was when Benjamin started eating solids, and by eating solids I mean eating goopy banana jarred baby food. I wanted to be the mom to cook my son special baby and toddler meals every single day so that's when I decided to by Ella's Kitchen cook book, even though Benjamin wouldn't be eating table food until he turned 8 months.
At around 8 months he started asking for more food, especially what I was eating. Just FYI all babies develope differently, some may ask sooner, and some later. But if you have any concerns talk to your pediatrician about this! Anyways, I began to give him things like spaghetti and meatsauce, to slices of bread with applesauce spread and soft fruits and veggies. But now that he eats absolutely everything from cheerios to a small bowl of rice and chicken, sometimes I seriously do not know what to cook! There's days where I find myself making him a grilled cheese much too often and I can see him getting sick of it! Last night I was crawling around the kitchen with my son when I looked over at the book shelf. My book! I don't know how I had completely forgotten about this amazing cookbook! As I sat for my morning coffee I read some of the recipes and was astonished to the amounts of snacks and desserts and hearty meals this book has! Both delicious and healthy too. I'm gonna start taking notes and adding sticky notes too the recipes I think Benjamin will love. Maybe sooner or later you'll see one of these delicious meals on my blog! I really recommend this book to all mamas wanting to start making meals for your toddler that are different from your regular menu and that you know are delicious and completely healthy too!
