It's that time of the year! Pull out your paints, glitter and card stock because we're making some Christmas tree foot prints! Benji had been a little sick this past week - we just found out our little bear has a double ear infection (in both ears)-so I decided to do some arts and crafts with him as he had his snack time. I wanted to try out this hand print craft that I saw on Pinterest that looks like a little Santa Clause, but I didn't want to interrupt his graham crackers and milk snack so I went with the traditional Christmas tree footprint like I did the year before; instructions are all the same! •Card stock
•Toxic free paints •Glitter •Glue •pom poms •cotton •Anything you'd like! I always find these crafts easier to do while your squirmy child has a snack on his or her high chair. If your little one follows instructions like an angel though, you may do this on the floor for extra support for the paper! Paint your little elf's foot of any color you wish, make sure to have a hard cover book if your baby is sitting on a high chair for more support on holding the paper, as we all know paper is flimsy! Carefully "stamp" your baby's foot onto the paper. This may take more than one try! Allow paint to dry and decorate however you want! I added some glue to hold the glitter to make a garland and used the tip of my little finger to dip into some paint to add "spheres". I then found some tiny pom poms I had and glued those too. I painted on a star and added some cotton to the bottom so it looks like snow. You can get really creative with this and add stickers or cut out tiny "presents" from the scraps of wrapping paper if you wish! Enjoy the time with your little ones making these little footprints!
