Ever since I did my son's Christmas Tree footprint last year, I fell in love with the idea of starting a new tradion with him by doing Holiday foot prints every year. I'm the kind of person that likes to watch TV shows or movies that have to do with the season or Holiday that's coming up, it really puts me in the holiday mood! So it was no surprise that I was watching on Netflix Barney's Halloween Party with Ben at the beginning of this month. What I enjoyed about the movie is the fact that it's filled with lots of activities to do with your kids! No wonder I loved Barney when I was a kid. Two of my favorite activities were the Ghost foot prints and the hand spiders. I just had to do them with Ben! You will need:
•Construction paper of your desired colors •Pen •Elmer's Glue •Glitter •Googly eyes •Paints and paint brushes For the hand spider, you will need construction paper, pen and scissors. First, you fold the paper hamburger style, next you place your little ones hand at the edge of the paper were it is folded. If you have a little one, make sure you have someone to help! Next you trace their hand. It's ok if it's not perfect! When you cut it, you will end up with a mirrored hand; make sure you cut off the thumbs. To finish the cute little spider, you can glue some googly eyes or paint the little face itself. Now the ghosts. It really helped me to put Ben on his high chair with some snacks so he could get distracted so I could paint his foot! Paint your little ones foot and stamp down on construction paper of desired color. When dry, paint on the little ghost face. I wanted to get creative and add the spider with the ghosts, so at the corner of the paper, I drew a spider Web with the glue, and sprinkled on some glitter and then added the spider. And there you have it! Your little ones first or second Halloween art! I think it's an essential to spend time with your kids and do arts and crafts even if they're just babies. In the end, you have a little treasure you can cherish forever! Comments are closed.
